DIRECTOR OF CULINARY

We are hiring a Director of Culinary. This role is responsible for overseeing culinary operations across our retail locations and production facility, with a primary focus on scaling systems, improving efficiency, and supporting growth.

In retail, you will be working closely with the leadership team. This role will drive kitchen efficiency, support new product launches, implement SOPs, and improve kitchen flow across all locations. Retail scope also includes involvement in new store buildouts, kitchen and floor plan development, hiring, and ongoing operational improvements.

In production, this role will own the growth and scaling of our culinary production spaces, including bakery, grab-and-go, and syrup programs. Responsibilities include floor and equipment planning, SOP implementation, production scheduling, hiring, and maintaining compliance with DOH and FDA requirements.

Experience Required

  • 5+ years of experience in culinary operations and team management

  • Experience launching and supporting new stores in new markets

  • Experience scaling culinary programs within a production or commissary environment

  • Experience working in both restaurant kitchens and food manufacturing

At Nitro, our baristas and line cooks work side-by-side to keep the line moving, the food fresh, and the coffee dialed. We’re looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced, organized environment and take pride in executing both breakfast plates and beautiful lattes with care and consistency. You’ll help with prep, batching, and line execution while keeping your station clean and service flowing during rushes. Communication and teamwork are key we move fast, but we do it together.

Hourly pay starts at $17/hr plus pooled tips for cooks (averaging an additional $10–$12/hr) and Full-time employees are eligible for subsidized health insurance, along with shift meals and, of course, all the coffee you could want.

At The Nitro Bar, our delivery drivers are an essential part of the team, helping provide the shops with our cold brew, pastries, and syrups.

You’ll follow planned delivery routes, work closely with our operations team, and take ownership of loading and unloading products with attention and respect for quality. We’re looking for someone reliable, organized, and comfortable working independently. Safety matters to us, drivers are expected to follow traffic laws, food safety standards, and all company policies.

Hourly Pay starts at $22/hr and full-time employees are eligible for subsidized health insurance.

Schedule varies based on delivery needs, with routes planned with management support.
